About 900 years ago, a man named Togakure Daisuke lived in a village among many beautiful mountains in what is now known as Nagano, Japan. He created a school of martial arts called Togakure Ryu Ninpo. |

Thirty-four generations later, Hatsumi Masaaki Souke is now the Grandmaster of that school, as well as eight other martial art schools. He lives in Noda City, Chiba, Japan and instructs classes three times per week. |

Hatsumi Souke, along with a small group of Japanese teachers, and a world wide membership of about 100,000 people make up the organization known as The Bujinkan. |
